The Bare Boat Skippers Course (also known as Day Skippers Course) provides comprehensive training for those wanting to skipper boats up to 24m in inland and coastal waters during daylight hours.

Course Content
Safety Systems
Comprehensive equipment checks, safety procedures, and emergency preparedness.
VHF Operations
Parts of VHF radios, proper usage, phonetic alphabet, and communication procedures.
Vessel Knowledge
Understanding vessel types, hull configurations, parts of vessels, and propulsion systems.
Navigation
Introduction to instruments and electronic aids to navigation, including GPS and chart plotters.
Seamanship
Small powerboat and RIB handling, tender operations, anchoring, and rope work including essential knots.
Certification
Upon passing the examination, you will receive a Certificate of Competency on Small Powerboat Handling & Communications for Vessels up to 15m, including introduction to VHF Radio Operations.
